Susan Mills Varker was born July 19, 1948 in Rupert, Idaho, the second child to Haskell Mills and Myrle Bulkley. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona after graduating from Snow College in Utah, where she met and married Bruce Varker. Before their divorce Bruce and Susan had four children. Susan worked for Motorola, which was later purchased by Freescale Semiconductors, for over 30 years.  She was an avid reader and loved mystery movies, but her favorite hobby was gardening – not an easy task in the Arizona heat!  Susan died at home on March 6, 2016, shortly after being diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Randy and Samuel. She is survived by sisters Ann, Karen and Peggy, her children, Katrina, Sara, Aaron and Peter, various nieces and nephews and eight grandchildren. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, and will be missed terribly.
