BURLEY — Louis Samuel Spevak, age 66, of Burley, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

Lou was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Rupert, Idaho, to Louis Ludwig and Barbara Jo Stephens Spevak. He graduated from Minico High School in 1966. He married LaJean King on July 19, 1969. Together, they had three children, Stephanie, Chris and Curtis. He spent his adult life loving and caring for his family and friends. Lou spent 35 years working at and later owning Bunting Tractor, after which he spent the remainder of his life doing what he loved most — being a loving, devoted grandfather to his five grandchildren and a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends, working on his cars, spending time on the water boating, snow skiing, snowmobiling, vacationing and traveling with his family. He was a very dedicated, caring man.

He is survived by his wife, LaJean (of 44 years); his three children and their spouses, Stephanie and Rick Aldrich, Chris and Robin Spevak, and Curtis and Zadell Spevak; his five grandchildren, Sonnet, Courtney, Aubrey, Tyler, and Abigale; his siblings, Peg, Pat, Susan and Scott; and several nieces and nephews. Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Barbara Spevak; his wife’s parents, Leonard and Ernestine “Tiney” King; and several aunts and uncles.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St. in Burley. A private family burial will be held at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
