Jim Ball

Jim Ball, 48 year old Paul Resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

He was born Sept. 4, 1948, in Twin Falls, the son of Ferrel Dean and Bernice Ball. He graduated from Minico High School, and married Linda Lawson on June 28, 1965, in Hailey. He farmed all his life north of Paul

He was a past board member of the Beet Growers Association. He enjoyed people, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and friends. He was a kind and caring person who loved life, his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Jim will be missed by his family and many friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Paul; his children, Richard (Tami) Ball of Rupert, Bryan (Suzette) Ball of Paul, and Shaunna (Rod) Gladfelder of Burley; six brothers, Larry (Lola) Ball, Buddy (Lou) Ball, Danny (Susan) Ball, Randy (Julie) Ball, Terry (Gina) Ball, and Gary (Laura) Ball all of Paul; nine grandchildren, Cassandra, Kasen, Erik, Kathryn, Brant, Ashley, Johnathan, Rylee and Riker; and his parents, Ferrel Dean and Bernice Ball of Paul. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996, at the Rupert First Christian Church, with Pastor Rob Coolidge officiating. Burial will follow at the Paul Cemetery with graveside rites by the Rupert Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. No. 2106. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel and one hour before the funeral on Saturday at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Elks Rehab Center.
