His son mitch.. reminds me of him alot... I considered Doc one of my better friends,,.. he is greatly missed
Daryl was one of the first dates I had as a freshman. I think it was his 1st date also. We were so young and niave. We double dated with his sister Elaine and Troy Amen. I don't see Elaine listed on this site. Does anyone know her where abouts or any information. Would love to know. Daryl asked me to go steady on that first date and as I remember we were Steadies for 2 days. A very short romance, but I thought the world of Daryl. He was such a kind soul and gentleman I think of him fondly and how funny we were at that age. I have heard so many comments about Daryls wife and what a fantastic woman she is. It would be nice to met her someday and Iwish I could have seen Daryl one more time. I think we could have had a good laugh about our long relationship. Gone way to young.
Kris, I talked to Edna Neibaur on the phone before she passed away, about a year ago when she was staying at her younger daughter's house in Idaho Falls. I'll check if I still have their phone number. I also texted Jeneane Neibaur for Elaine's phone number. When I get it, I'll send it your way. Our farm was only a mile from Daryl and Elaine's farm. I would love to have a copy of his obituary to put on this site. He died before everything went digital. Does anyone have a clipping from the paper?
Pat Kerbs (Watrin)
I think Tam has the paper copy and she keeps in touch with Doc's wife I think.
