Obituary appeared November 16, 2010: 

P. Chad Bailey died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Rupert, Idaho, on May 30, 1948.

Chad is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Brandon (Nicole); four grandsons, Spencer, Jackson, Peyton and Carter; his parents, Norman and Letta Bailey; siblings, Ron (Mary), Vaughn (Joni), Renae (Mark) Neilson and Gina (Jim) Voss; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kent.

Always an optimist, Chad viewed life as a glass half full rather than half empty. Life was and is good. You will be missed our friend. Today, tomorrow, always - happy trails to you!

A memorial celebrating Chad's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Peterson's Barn in Rupert.

Chad had a great appreciation and love for children. Memorials in Chad's memory are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House or any family hospital housing, kids with cancer or any charity of choice.
