BURLEY • Marsha Ann Scott Turner, 62, of Burley, passes away Sunday, July 31, 2011, after a long, hard fight with many medical issues.
Marsha was born Sept. 7, 1948, to Bernard and Jeanne Scott in Rupert. Marsha was raised on the farm in Heyburn, graduated from Minico High School and continued her education at the Boise Business School in Boise. She then returned to help on the farm after her brother became ill. She then married Leslie B. Turner on July 28, 1968, where they happily had two daughters, Angela (1969) and Dawn (1973). Marsha will always be known for her many knitting and sewing projects that she had going on at once.
Marsha is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Leslie B. Turner; her daughters, Angela Turner and Dawn Fulton; her mother and father, Jeanne and Bernard Scott; four granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
At Marsha’s wish, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses that helped keep mom with us for so long.
“With tearful eyes we watched her suffer
And saw her fade away;
Although we couldn’t bear to lose her
We could not bid her stay.
God saw she was getting tired
And a cure was not to be;
So he put his arms around her
And whispered, ‘Come with me.’
A golden heart stopped beating
Our dear one laid to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.”
